Mae’n bleser gweld plant yn chwarae yn yr awyr agored – yn dod i adnabod eu hamgylchedd, bod yn chwilfrydig am yr hyn sydd o’u hamgylch a chael hwyl wrth weld pethau newydd . Mae’r un mor drist i weld plant yn treulio llai amser yn yr awyr agored. Mae astudiaeth yn y DU wedi ei gomisiynu gan yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol wedi canfod bod plant yn treulio hanner yr amser bu eu rhieni yn ei dreulio yn yr awyr agored. Mae astudiaeth arall wedi ei gomisiynu gan Persil wedi canfod bod plant bach yn treulio ddwywaith yn fwy o amser yn edrych ar sgrîn ag y maent yn chwarae y tu allan.It is joyful to watch children in the outdoors – exploring their surroundings, being curious about what’s around them and finding the fun in seeing new things. It is equally as sad to witness children spending less time outside. A UK study commissioned by the National Trust found that children spend half the time outside that their parents did. Another study commissioned by Persil found that young children spend twice as long looking at screens as they do playing outside.
